Flitting with Fractions lets your child practice finding fractions that are part of a group.

To use Flitting with Fractions, read the question and determine which butterflies to put in the jar. Drag and drop the butterflies at the top of the jar and click the 'Close Lid' button. Have your child calculate the denominator and numerator to describe the parts of the group they have caught. Click the 'Enter' button and continue until all the questions are complete.

Fraction Model prompts your child to manipulate fractions as part of a group.

To use Fraction Model, set the numerator slider higher than the denominator. Have your child use the sliders to change the value of the fractions and observe the corresponding graphics. Use the pull-down menu to change the type of graphic to rectangle, circle or set model. Have your child describe the parts of the group.
